new beginnings
With the passing of the winter solstice and the lengthening of days we move into a new
cycle of growth. So here are my wishes for you... May you live your
dreams, and dwell within the house of your hopes. May every door open to a new and joyful adventure. May
abundance, generosity, love, compassion and wisdom be present in your life.
May you know peace....may you know peace. Tracie

invitations
I've been thinking the past few days about what it is that I do. I am a practitioner
of healing modalities. What exactly does that mean? How is it that I'm facilitating resilient embodied transformation? When my hand smoothes or stretches a muscle, when it works with the subtle rhythms of the craniosacral
system, when it finds energy imbalances or chooses plant essences, I'm opening a dialogue with the body and energy of
the person I'm working with. The purpose of that dialogue is to invite your innate wisdom to do what it does best,
and to offer support so you - my client - can choose to move closer to experiencing the deepest and most luminous expression
of your physical self possible. Thank you. It is such an honor to accompany you on your journeys.

long overdue...
My last post was over two weeks ago...testimony to just how fast time can pass, especially
at this time of year. So what do we do to slow down and settle into each day? How do we create spaciousness in
the midst of all of the holiday hype and chaos? How do we find mindfulness and presence so we stay grounded, centered,
and open to our lives? Think about it.... For me, it starts with a simple,
easy, daily practice. Something that I do which reminds me that I belong here, now. Something that reminds me
of my deep, abiding, connection to that which is sacred and meaningful for me. How simple? Extremely! Let's
face it....besides myself I have 3 busy children, a wonderful husband, a cat (OK - he pretty much takes care of himself),
and a business to nurture and support on a daily basis. My practice takes me about 10 minutes - total. Here's
the thing though...without it I'm anchor-less. Ping-ponging through my day wondering why I feel like I just can't
wrap my head around anything and my feet aren't really touching anything. My
daily practice doesn't involve exercising, to-do lists, affirmations, or trying to change myself in any way. It
simply gratefully welcomes into my life, with
attention, intention, and presence, the sacredness which supports and nourishes me each day. I'm deliberately
not naming specific spiritual or religious figures or practices here because that isn't the point. The point is consciously
acknowledging your connection to that which is sacred to you, and feeling gratitude for that connection in every cell of your
body... So do I include exercise, to-do lists, affirmations, and the other
things we all do for ourselves in my day? Of course! I just ground them all first by spending ten minutes with
what makes me know I'm present, and I belong.
