February's Gift
We're receiving an early Valentine from February here in the Southeastern
corner of Pennsylvania. In the midst of a month typically packed with icy rains, snows, and, yes, dreary days ,the Earth has produced
a little cluster of sunny, warm, soft days. Almost as if we're being reminded that spring is truly in the making
deep in the heart of trees and plants, soil and stream. Just so we don't lose hope. I haven't looked yet,
but I'll bet the crocuses are nearly ready to break free of their snug soil blankets and grace us with their blazing colors
and light! This image is of our crocus friends last year... So I've been outside walking, and now I'm looking out my office window at the gnarled sycamore, the stately
ash, the little cherry -- so very grateful for their companionship as I move through the rest of my day -- feeling the stirrings
of life under their bark reflected in the rising sap of creativity under my skin. Wishing you beauty and hope and your own rising sap of creativity, Tracie

New gathering
One of my favorite quotes is from Terry Tempest Williams in her book Refuge.
In it she says, "Hands on the earth, I closed my eyes and remembered where the source of my power lies. My connection to the natural world
is my connection to self..." I love this quote because I know what it is like to be so cut off from my source
of power, and my sense of belonging - my sense of home. For years
I have been “bleeding at the roots because I was cut off from the Earth”, to paraphrase D.H. Lawrence. Bleeding
my vitality, my passion, my time, my attention, my creativity out onto the apathetic soil of an unconscious life. It
always felt wrong, and I could never quite figure out how to stem the flow.
The shift came when I changed
my relationship with the Earth into one of full presence and attention. When I entered into a loving and co-creative
relationship with wild nature wherever I found it. Suburban back yard, mountain top, city street, it’s everywhere
underfoot and overhead. Waiting to be heard and felt. Waiting to share stories. I'm starting a gathering to share this experience with other people who feel like they are “bleeding
from the roots...cut off from the Earth”. To gather with people who crave meaningful and joyful community which
welcomes the human and the more-than-human world.
If you’re intrigued, if this gathering calls to
you, please contact me at info@ttntherapy.com or by calling 215-527-5457. The first gathering is scheduled for Tuesday,
February 24th from 6:30 - 7:30. I'd be honored to meet you there. Tracie
