Aromatherapy Background:
As an aromatherapist, energy therapist and massage therapist I am passionate about sharing the many ways in which the practice of therapeutic aromatherapy supports community well being through classes, consultations and professional development seminars.  Blends I have created are being used in a domestic violence shelter, in counseling offices, in a wellness clinic, and in hospice care, as well as by many individuals.  I bring over 18 years of experience using and studying therapeutic aromatherapy to my work, and I am Integrative Aromatherapy Certified (IAC), as well as nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork (NCTMB). I also hold an M.A. in Transformative Learning and Change, a multidisciplinary degree in adult education and cultural anthropology supporting transformative life experiences through learning.

Teaching Background:
I have designed and taught over 70 workshops on a variety of topics including aromatherapy, crystals and minerals, trusting intuition, journaling and life writing.  My approach to facilitation is to present information in a variety of ways, with an emphasis on experiential activities, striving to meet the needs of all types of learners.  My style is conversational with an emphasis on dialogue and creative brainstorming.

I was a faculty member at the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences teaching Aromatherapy, supervising Massage Practicum classes, and teaching Anatomy & Physiology and Pathology classes.  I have also guest lectured about aromatherapy for Complementary and Alternative Medicine classes at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and at area public libraries.

My service commitment to you and our local and global community...
I am deeply committed to honoring the ethics of my profession, and to offering all of my clients and customers the absolute best of my skills and knowledge in a loving and compassionate way.  My practice is dedicated to business choices that promote environmental sustainability leading to increased community and global health.  I also donate my time and expertise in aromatherapy and bodywork to local non-profit agencies, particularly those who serve survivors of trauma and abuse.  If you represent an agency and are interested in my help, please contact me."

Warmly,
Tracie Nichols
